Our Mission:

Bohemia Food Hub develops equitable economic opportunities to explore, start, and grow small food businesses in a supported environment.

Our Vision:

Our vision is a resilient and inclusive community focused food system that supports sustainable livelihoods in rural Lane County and across the state.

Our Story:

Founded in 2016 by Kim Johnson, the Bohemia Food Hub supports the growth and development of new and existing businesses in the Food and Beverage Sector. From concept to implementation, Bohemia Food Hub offers built-in support for entrepreneurs as they navigate the business start-up and scaling process. Since its inception, Bohemia Food Hub has been fostering job creation, incubating new businesses, and improving livelihoods within the community of Cottage Grove. As of 2022, Bohemia Food Hub became a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit. With this new framework, we are able to expand development and programming.

Our anchor businesses allow us to keep prices low for businesses that are just starting. To date, we have supported the creation and success of more than 15 companies. Bohemia Food Hub works with a variety of local food businesses that together employ nearly 40 community members.

Overall, Bohemia Food Hub is comprised of a 3,500 square foot co-working commercial kitchen, a developed Food Truck court, and a retail grocery store, located on 10th Street in downtown Cottage Grove.

Our Values:

  • EMPOWERMENT: We strive to support people to achieve their goals and control their own destinies.

  • RELATIONSHIPS: We build authentic relationships and work collaboratively because we honor the experience and strengths that everyone brings to the table.

  • ACCESSIBILITY: We aim to reduce and remove barriers through affordable, multilingual services, connection to resources and the broader food system network.

  • SOLIDARITY: We foster a deep sense of connection among clients and are committed to the success of each individual.

  • MINDFULNESS: We carefully consider how our choices affect each other, the broader community and the environment.
